What is actually in THAT water? Sure, if you want to contribute to the ongoing pollution problem where your unused water bottle probably ends up in the Pacific and its moving plastic island, be my guess. Or you could actually exercise...which is a great way to reduce/eliminate "travel belly."

Re: It’s Valentine’s Day- Man Up

Okay, if there is such a thing.....and I believe there is :-).....THAT, up there, is a perfect post!! Wonderful!!

Re: It’s Valentine’s Day- Man Up

Very nicely put, Friend!!! Unfortunately, the market (in many fields) has not been kind to generalists.

Re: The Importance of Domain Knowledge

I don't entirely agree. I think there still has to be some form of Generalist to triage cases as they come in, whether it be Medical, IT, or a host of other fields. A generalist can size up the issue and point the case in the direction of a specialist, if need be. Just My two cents...

Re: Some Thoughts On Failure

Great post. Nothing worse than trying to serve with someone you cannot respect or cannot trust. I think if you can agree early on to give your team permission to address things (no matter how ugly, or what 'direction' they are aimed in), the better off the team will be in the long term.

Re: A Tale of Two Cities

My fav city in the US would be New York as well. I use to think the same thing here in Delaware.. You know, "things like that do not happen here." That was until I was 19.
